MAR 1           ARRIVE INTO DELHI 

Welcome to Delhi, India!  You will be met on arrival in Delhi and be taken to your hotel. Receive a traditional welcome of aarti & tika at the Taj Hotel. Evening visit to Khan Market or Pandara Road for dinner.

MAR 2, 3      DELHI

These next two days we take a private Mughal tour of Old & New Delhi, visiting:

Jama Masjid - asia’s largest mosques     Chandni Chowk’s bustling streets on a Cycle Rickshaw

Humanyun Tomb, a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE    Bahai’ Lotus Temple

Bangla Sahib Gurudwara - a prominent Sikh Temple, serving ‘langar’ (free meals) to over 10,000 people everyday.

One evening we will drive past the Imperial part of the New Delhi, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the British in the 1920s to see the impressive India Gate and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s residence and the Parliament Bldg..

MAR 4           DELHI – AGRA    (200 kms/ 3 Hour drive approx.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from hotel & drive to Agra.

Visit Agra Fort - The fort presents a good sampling of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles. It is said Agra Fort is the Place where Shah Jahan saw Mumtaz and fell in love at first sight!

Visit Mother Teresa’s Charity Home, which has about 50 children who are orphaned as well as 150 infirmed adults who can no longer care for themselves. The mission is solely reliant on private donations to support their cause. We will give back by sharing our time with them.

MAR 5         AGRA – JAIPUR   (250 kms/ 5 Hour drive approx.)          

Sunrise visit Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved Queen Begum Mumtaz. This wonder of the world is said to have taken 21 years to build. It has an enormous shimmering white dome with four corner minarets and is marked by perfect symmetry and harmony, be it the shape of the minarets; the cupolas; the central arch in the façade; the perfectly arranged arched recesses or the intricate stone inlay work. It is the most extravagant monument ever built for love.

Return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out and drive to Jaipur

MAR 6, 7     JAIPUR

8:00 am Sightseeing of Amber Fort on elephant back. This hilltop fortress was the Royal Family’s residence and is one of the most enchanting forts of India.

Tour the City Palace & drive past the magnificent façade of Hawa Mahal.

Visit Govind Dev Ji Temple. Witness the aarti ceremony where many devotees and followers gather in the courtyard to pay their respects.

 

Jaipur, is truly a shopper’s paradise. With a fantastic range of handicrafts, jewelry, textiles, beautiful stone and sandalwood carvings, tie & dye fabrics, and precious and semi-precious stones available, shopping is simply irresistible in Jaipur. It is a treasure trove of both high-end shopping and bargain markets, making it one of the most attractive shopping destinations in India. We will visit a Handicrafts center – to see fine block printing & carpet weaving.

MAR 8         JAIPUR – GOA (via Mumbai)

Overnight at Taj Exotica

Checkout from hotel and drive to Jaipur airport to board flight to Goa via Mumbai

Arrive in Goa & be transferred to the resort

Full day at leisure. Enjoy the sandy beaches of Goa.

Optional day tour of the city is offered at an extra cost.

Check out from hotel and transfer to airport to board flt to Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and transferred to hotel

Check out by Noon.

Visit cottage industries and Connaught Place.

Late lunch

Transfer to Delhi International airport in order to connect flight for onward destination.
