Rimmi Singh is E-RYT 500, E-RYT, YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) registered yoga instructore. and an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor. She’s been a dedicated practitioner for 23 years and an instructor for over 19 years.

Born in India, Rimmi spent the first 20 years of her life surrounded by Indian philosophy and traditions. In 1998 Rimmi took her first yoga class and immediately fell in love. It offered her the perfect respite from her software engineering career. Soon she left the corporate world and immersed herself in the study of yoga. Completing her 200-hour teacher training, Rimmi started teaching in 2002. Over time she extensively studied the Yoga Sutras, Zen Buddhism, Vipasana meditation, Ayurveda, Sanskrit and Pranayama.

With a playful sense of humor and a keen eye for alignment, she skillfully leads beginning and seasoned yogis through a practice centered on Sankalpa (intention) and Svadhyaya (self-study). Exploring the narrow line between inspiration, yogic philosophy, and wisdom for everyday living, Rimmi offers students a rich and authentic experience of yoga; passionately encouraging students to balance strength, power, sweat and laughter.

For Rimmi, teaching yoga is personal. She understands her students and has earned a dedicated following of yogis seeking a physical and spiritual connection. Her classes offer a rich blend of different yoga styles with a strong emphasis on alignment, meditation, personal empowerment, and a joyful approach, free of self-judgment.

Rimmi emphasizes that yoga is more than a series of physical movements; it is the science for attaining inner peace and tranquility. She echoes Swami Satyanadaji’s sentiments that one’s whole life is yoga. And to an awakened being the day-to-day work can become Yoga – union of mind, body and soul

Rimmi is grateful to all her teachers especially her dad, the original yogi in the family; and her husband and kids, who give her plenty of opportunities to practice yoga off the mat. She is excited that her kids have started practicing, and delights in sharing her passion for yoga with them.

Rimmi is a forever student, a lover of life and a strong believer of living fully.
